Over the weekend I...

  • Finished Christmas presents for my little brothers
  • Went on an awesome date with a very funny boy
  • Went to Baptist church with Baptist roommate, aforementioned funny boy and a cute red-headed friend.
  • Took pictures of my 19 year old friends on Santa's lap.
  • Watched "Something Borrowed"(don't waste your time)
  • Talked to my parents on the phone quite a bit

I had originally planned to go home last weekend but I'm glad I stayed in good ole Logan.

Also: Who doesn't love Christmas scenes from Harry Potter/ WWOHP?

Last Friday Night.

  • Basketball game with the greatest people ever. We beat BYU.
  • Late night chick-fil-a
  • Wishing 11 wishes at 11:11
  • Face masks
  • Twilight movies (don't judge...)
  • Crashed on their couch and slept until noon.
Pretty awesome weekend. Now I'm blasting the Christmas music and drinking Hot Chocolate while it snows outside and my roommates are who-knows-where. I am awesome.

I took this video at 5:30. The game didn't start until 7.

happiness

sometimes naomi does happy lists. and I really like it! It's so much fun to think about things that make you happy.

1. getting letters from my family. my mom wrote that this is what Gabe wanted to tell me,

"I love her and I like to play with her. I like to go in her room and I like to do fun stuff with her. I miss her. So bad! and thats all." -Gabe (i miss him :)

2. Being busy

3. understanding math

4. Hanging with Jessica.  Yesterday she said, "sorry I'm wearing socks with my TOMS... my feet were cold." she's funny.

5. Singing

Homecoming Weekend

I broke the World Record for the longest kissing chain.

We couldn't find boys... so we kissed each other on the cheek...

I also went to the homecoming game!
YAY!
we lost...

I saw my friend who goes to BYU a couple of times this weekend. apparently Logan is WAY cooler than Provo... (love you Annie)

and then we went and roasted marshmallows in Providence Canyon.

off to church!

3 girls.

three girls meet at ten o'clock at night to work on a homework project thats due the next morning. among them is an artist, a musician and an athlete. they are best friends. They know each other like an apple knows it's stem and a... dog knows it's... house?

I cannot believe how much I have been through with these girls. both seem hard to read and come across as indifferent to everything around them. But deep down, they're not. We have gone through so much in our lives as friends. Understanding; it's in the looks we give each other, the laughter we share and the details we grasp. Every time a tragedy has struck, and between the three of us they sure have struck, we overcome together. As our senior year ends and we go off to three different universities, I realize how much I overlook them and how fortunate I am to have such close, caring and understanding friends.

I'll be honest with you...

oh wait I'm always honest with you.

when I auditioned for musical as a sophomore I was crushed  that I didn't make it.

then again junior year.

Then for some reason I auditioned again as a senior and made it. thats when I realized I didn't want to be in it. and boy was I hatin' it.

fast forward 5 months and I have made the best friends ever. I have met the funniest, nicest, most interesting, bizarre people. I have been in a love/hate relationship with two musicals and been the busiest girl on the planet. everything happens for a reason and I love my new best friends.

Snow Ball

Last night's Christmas Dance was one the best nights of my life. I got to go with my cute little best friend Nick. We have been friends for a long time. Not casual, say HI! to each other in the hall friends but real, true friends. We had fun just being ourselves and laughing. This dance caused NO STRESS whatsoever, only bliss. We danced like idiots, didn't even worry about courage/boutonniere stuff, and made our own fun. So blessed to have incredible friends and family who love me.

Jane
Annie
Alin
Ali
Jessica
Melissa
and
Emily
you all looked beautiful.

Me, Tony and Chelsea. love them.

Childhood memories #2: trumps pool/field

to pretend it's not freezing outside i'm going to try and think of how I spend/spent my summer days. When I was probably 10 the trump family put a pool in their yard and opened it to the nieghbohood. We always had a blast swimming and playing water games while our moms sat around and talked. Even after brother trump died his wife lets us come and swim twice a week during the summer.

Whenever we wanted to play a game of soccer or flag football, we'd always meet at trumps field. We used to all get together when it got dark and play nightgames. So many incredile exciting memories. Funny, Walker has been right by my side every step of the way.

This weekend.

turned out so much better than i thought it would. With the boys and daddy in St. George, mom and i had a PARTY!! No seriously we had so much fun. I got to play with her a little bit and with my friends a little bit, it worked out beautifully.

FRIDAY- CHENOA TURNED 18! there was no school but i had musical the entire day, when i got home at 4:30 i jumped in the car and mumzie and i got dinner at my very favorite restaurant in the whole wide world, Royal India. I feel TERRIBLE for those of you who have never eaten here. yum. then we went and saw Secretariat.

The fastest race horse of all time. One of the best movies I have EVER seen. incredible.

When we got home I ran to Chelsea's and got dressed for Tiana's big party, we dressed as creepy zombies and I have to say we looked pretty dang good. pics to come soon. hopefully. anyway we had a blast and got dipin dots when we were done, then played at Chelsea's for a little bit.

The best part about dad leaving is that i get to sleep in mommy's perfect bed. ahhhhh. so lovely. So i laid down in moms bed and told her about the evening to which she replied, "dipin dots sounds good. lets go to walmart." so we got up and put some shoes on and messed around at Wal-mart... we didn't end up going to sleep until around 2 :)

SATURDAY- musical all day, phone got stolen which really... never mind, i won't get onto that subject. Chenoa had her birthday party, we had dinner at her house then went to nightmare on 13th.

(notice the incredible glow-stick hat :) I adore these girls. and cc.

oh i love her.

chelsea kind looks weird.

(CC took all of the above pics.)

Then i went home and slept.

SUNDAY- for breakfast we made ableskievers, those yummy danish pancake things. it was weird not to have to triple the recipe in order to feed the entire army, we just made a baby batch to feed two people. the recipe calls for buttermilk which we didn't have so my mother decided to make her own by dumping some vinegar into regular milk... the result was vinigarskievers, the dough tasted NASTY, but the final product wasn't too bad (: we skipped church because we are bad people. nah, just neither of us felt super great so we cleaned up a little bit and in so doing found a karaoke C.D. of JOURNEY! so we sang our little hearts out through the entire C.D. and laughed, played around and took these pictures:

for dinner we had homemade root beer and pizza. the house was so quiet and peaceful. I think i will remember this weekend forever. (: happy grace.

so here's the deal.

i am really embarrassed about my ACT score but i say SO WHAT! i am sick of worrying about it. even with my ACT and GPA not being so great... i honestly believe i can get into BYU with all my extra curricular and leadership/service stuff. so what if i get in!? i can't get any scholarships from BYU. on the other hand, i KNOW i can get into USU and get some pretty alright scholarships just for my grades. for some reason, i can picture myself at Utah State more then i can  BYU... i think i would really like both schools, Utah State has a better education program (yep. i want to be a high school teacher) and it would be farther from home.  do i want to be farther from home? Logan is colder than Provo... Cougar or Aggie? both have good ice cream (: i know which one i am leaning toward and my Grampa is not going to be happy....

this girl gets me through everything. this boy me happy when no one else can.

here's what's up.

warning: this has the potential to be a (very) long post.

i was supposed to go to another leadership conference with all the officers. but here's the deal... i don't have another $300 to spare. so i stayed home. and i'm glad i did. this is why.

on monday i went shopping with my mom. wouldn't have missed it for the world. and we ran through the sprinklers and we went to a Raptor's baseball game :)

on tuesday i took my nanny boys ( for lack of a better term) to the rec center. we had so much fun! (plus i got some good money :) then i got home and my dad asked me if i wanted to go to Paul Mccartney. OH MY GOSH!!!!! it was so amazing :) happy early 17th birthday to me. i had such an incredible time. (plus i met this cute girl) it was amazing that one person from my favorite band was standing in front of me. SEVEN ROWS in front of me!! yeah. ground seats, seven rows in front of a freaking musical genius. my dad went to paul Mccartney when he was 16! with his girlfriend... well im not cool enough to have a boyfriend so i went with my daddy :)he is so funny. we got this lady to take our picture and she asked where we were from so we told her and she said she was from montana!! then my dads like, "well it sucks that you drove all the way down here cuz Pauls gonna be in montana in 3 or 4 weeks." the look on that lady's face was priceless!! she freaked out a little bit and my dads like, "nah i'm just kiddin," she laughed pretty hard at that one. my brothers totally ended up with his humor... ANYWAY!!! the pictures!!

my IDOL!!!

then we went to in n out and got extra large drinks. i have never drank that much pink lemonade in one sitting.

Today i got up late, went to the bank, got some gas and went to gym. then i came home and mom asked me to take the boys somewhere... typical. but of course, we had a blast. i took them to wal-mart and let them pick out toys and treats (i spoil them) gabe picked out a tractor and satchel picked out water balloons. SHOCKERR! and we went to the park
this is a balloon filled with sand. it was very awesome. until it popped.

then i took these pictures-

then i made this cute cake... that i can't get a good picture of
