42.

I saw 42 this weekend. I went really late with my dad and there was hardly anyone there. I loved it. I've always loved the story of Jackie Robinson. A few things-

- Ancient Harrison Ford. Ohmygosh. He was amazing, luckily his acting has quite improved since the release of the first Star Wars movie, 40 years ago.

-T.R. Knight AND James Pickens Jr.?? Ultimate Grey's Anatomy freak's dream come true.

- Alan Tudyk from my all time favorite movie, A Knights Tale. His character was disgusting and I hated him.

- The costumes!? The greatest. I think the 40's were the cutest as far as fashion goes. Every single outfit the Jackie's wife was adorable. I can't find very many photos but if you've seen it, you know what I mean.

I have family in town for my aunt's wedding (more on that later!) so when I came home my two youngest brothers were asleep on the guest bed we were all sharing for the weekend. I snuggled up between them and cried and thanked (and pleaded with) my Father in Heaven that they would never be treated the way that Jackie had been. I always forget how recently the whole segregation thing was. I would hate for my little babes to ever feel like they were less important than anyone else. Love them.
