my mom is on strike.

so I have no clean clothes because the laundry room is locked and we are forbidden to enter. I've also done all the cooking and cleaning for my family the past 2 days. My parents are AWESOME. No, they're actually really great, they do a lot for me.

AS A SIDE NOTE: I am going on the Choir Trip. YAY! I wasn't ever planning on going but i kinda changed my mind. So i'm going to miss my family vacation but it will be worth it. we get to sing in some really cool places and i've never been to Seattle.

this looks cool.

also my parents are paying $539 of it and i'm paying $300. thats kinda a lot of money. I have already made my first $50 installment.

how inspirational.

ALSO. this is the greatest website yet.

one more thing. song.

I'll be honest with you...

oh wait I'm always honest with you.

when I auditioned for musical as a sophomore I was crushed  that I didn't make it.

then again junior year.

Then for some reason I auditioned again as a senior and made it. thats when I realized I didn't want to be in it. and boy was I hatin' it.

fast forward 5 months and I have made the best friends ever. I have met the funniest, nicest, most interesting, bizarre people. I have been in a love/hate relationship with two musicals and been the busiest girl on the planet. everything happens for a reason and I love my new best friends.

joy to the world, hark the herald angels sing and here comes santa clause!

for the 12 days of Christmas we always call my grandparents in Virginia and sing Christmas Songs. Today my dad asked me to sing a solo.

I said no.

then he got mad at me.

Then I said only if mom sings with me.

Then my mom got mad at me.

so i sang this. cheesy I know and it  sounded pretty lame but i love the song...

After i sang it I heard my beautiful, inspirational, incredible example of a grandmother say "that brought tears to my eyes."

i thought she was either kidding or I had misunderstood (she is sometimes difficult to understand because she has this).  PLUS... i had never seen/heard her cry.

But alas. she was crying.

I'm here to tell ya. It's all about family and the gospel. nothing else matters, possessions have little to no importance and all that worldly crap means nothing. I made somebody happy today. It's the most wonderful time of the year, deck the halls and Merry Christmas Darling...

so here's the deal.

i am really embarrassed about my ACT score but i say SO WHAT! i am sick of worrying about it. even with my ACT and GPA not being so great... i honestly believe i can get into BYU with all my extra curricular and leadership/service stuff. so what if i get in!? i can't get any scholarships from BYU. on the other hand, i KNOW i can get into USU and get some pretty alright scholarships just for my grades. for some reason, i can picture myself at Utah State more then i can  BYU... i think i would really like both schools, Utah State has a better education program (yep. i want to be a high school teacher) and it would be farther from home.  do i want to be farther from home? Logan is colder than Provo... Cougar or Aggie? both have good ice cream (: i know which one i am leaning toward and my Grampa is not going to be happy....

this girl gets me through everything. this boy me happy when no one else can.

grandma Jacquline

jackie is what you might refer to as a southern belle. she is a very proper, clean, organized lady. as you can imagine... we are very different. i wish to be like her some day... she is so beautiful and lovely and wonderful. i want to be a dignified lady.

sometimes i like to pretend i look like her.

by the way. notice the ring that she probably wore everyday as a high schooler. i too wear that exact same ring. everyday. without fail. it is my grandfathers high school class ring. i cannot leave the house without it. does anyone else have a special piece of jewelry they can't live without?

look who it is, my role model.

ah wendy smedley. my hero, role model and second mother, i love this lady. she is a brilliant mother and someone that you are simply drawn to. her sense of humor is incredible. after a good, long talk with Wendy your stomach is bound to ache from laughter. she makes people feel good about themselves and is so happy all the time! i hope every girl has someone they can look up to like i do Wendy.

the list

okay admit it. I know you've all made 'the list.' it is most often known as the 'what i want in my future husband list' or something like that. and just like all of you, i've had one since i was... 12. and you want to know what i just found out? baseball fits every single one of the requirements on the list. trust me. this list is hard to follow. it's quite the accomplishment to fulfill every single thing on it. number 1 (homecoming date) was pretty great. and sure we had a thing for like.. 2 years. but he NEVER had all the things on the list. and... just because i love you all i will share the list with you. here it goes. (this is found on the very last page of my second journal.)

the top says-
"happiness is being married to your best friend"

-loves kids/great with them, would make a great dad.
-makes me laugh until my stomach hurts
-love to play/watch baseball
-will do fun stuff with me, go hiking, listen to music, cook
- absolute LOVE for travel and new people/cultures
-positive outlook on life
-FUN
- Respects girls
-have a strong testimony of the gospel
- kind to his mommy
-have the priesthood to bless our children and others
-must be willing to adopt
-passion for education
-Kind, gentle, loving to other people
-someone i can talk to about everything.
LATER-
- must be a returned missionary
- must take me to the temple

i just sat in my car and talked to baseball for two hours. and when has there ever been a boy that i can have a conversation with forever without getting bored? hmm.... interesting.
