My Grandmothers are complete opposites. My mom's mother is wildly unorganized and chatty. My dad's mother is quiet and sweet and charming. I've never met any 2 people so different from each other and yet somehow they managed to raise children who met, fell in love and are perfect for each other. It's crazy.
My mother's mother taught me to have fun but don't do thing that you honestly don't want to do. She's also taught me a lot about the power of prayer, Granny prays for everybody and everything. She's taught the impact that music can have on your life and has always encouraged me to keep singing and playing! It's ok not look perfect all the time, people are what matter, live life to the fullest.
My dad's mother has taught me to love others. She has taught me to be patient and if things don't turn out the way you want to, try to laugh it off. I love my grandmother's laugh, how her whole face just lights up with joy. My dad makes her just laugh and laugh and then role her eyes that somehow she raised such a dork. Grandma Jack has taught me how to cook. She's the best cook around. She taught me to have faith, be kind, generous and serve others.
I try to incorporate all these things into my everyday life, and let me tell you, it's not easy. I've got a lot to live up to and luckily I've got a couple of perfect examples.
Well Grace, I think it's safe to say you're a perfect combination of the two!! Seriously, you're great. :)
