I think of myself as being half way in between shy and outgoing. I usually don’t talk because when I talk, I sound like an idiot, but around people I know, it doesn’t really matter if I sound dumb so I talk as much a want! In new situations and around new people, as much as I tell myself to be friendly and outgoing, it usually doesn’t happen. So from now on, I’m going to be okay with being the “the shy one” as long as I walk with confidence.

shy.
As soon as I got here the guys referred to me “the shy one.” Usually my first instinct would be to be offended, isn’t being shy bad? My whole life being shy has been a negative thing; outgoing people are always viewed as being more popular and happy.
